In this ET NOW Exclusive interview, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri insists that Air India remains an attractive buy in the post-COVID world and its attractiveness will only increase during the pandemic. Speaking to ET NOW’s Nayantara Rai, Hardeep Puri emphasised that the government did not view the Vande Bharat mission as a revenue opportunity.
He also spoke about India being on its way to seal the bilateral ‘air bubble’ agreement with countries in the neighbourhood. He stressed that it’s not the job of government to run airlines or bail out stressed airlines, but reiterated that the government has done enough to protect the stakeholders in the aviation industry.
